She opens her eyes at dawn full of energy and light, coming awake so very quickly, from a deep sleep to instant life. She giggles as she dresses and talks of the coming day, making sure I've planned her dinner and that the cats are all ok. She tells me she's going to need cuddle time and that we need to mow the lawn, that our seeds are growing beautifully and can I turn the radio on? She sings along in the car her voice so passionate and clear, but stops mid note to make sure I've seen a field full of deer. Her smile is filled with wonder as she says, "Mama did you see?" "That mommy deer and her babies are looking right at me." She then goes back to singing and dances in her seat, moving as though she's lifetimes old and can't resist the beat. We arrive at the sitters and with a hug and a kiss she's gone, and I can't help but be so very proud that I've raised a girl so strong. She guides me through this life, makes me smile, and keeps me sane, and these are only a few of the joys I get for raising Raine...
