Someone had a birthday this week and is a big lover of all things pie, especially the fruit filled kind. I decided last minute to surprise her with a heart shaped lemon apple raspberry walnut struesel tart! Whoo what a mouthful that is! I popped out of bed at 4am and had it in the car and cooling by 7. I wrapped it up as soon as I got to work and had it on her desk waiting by the time she got in! She shared it with a few of her coworkers but made sure to keep the biggest piece for herself, as a baker this is absolutely the best kind of compliment!
